Rebecca Williamson

Rebecca is a consultant to the AAA and is the Project Director/Subject Matter Expert for Ambulance Cost Data Collection. She is the former Chairman of the American Ambulance Association’s Medicare Regulatory Committee and the American Ambulance Association Ethics Committee. Rebecca is a founding board member and Past President of the Oklahoma Ambulance Association. She previously served on the Oklahoma Emergency Response Development Advisory Committee and the Governor’s Task Force on EMS Readiness. Rebecca is also an active board member for several other regulatory and civic organizations.

She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, is a Registered Nurse, is a nationally certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner in both Adults and Pediatrics, and is a Nationally Registered Paramedic. Before joining the American Ambulance Association as a consultant, she served at Pafford EMS as Chief Compliance Officer and HIPAA Privacy Officer and was also at Muskogee County EMS for 26 years, serving as the Chief Compliance Officer and HIPAA Privacy Officer. As the CCO at these services Rebecca was responsible for development, leadership, implementation, and administration of all compliance and HIPAA policies and procedures. Rebecca is a frequent national speaker on documentation, compliance, HIPAA, Public Relations, sexual assault in the workplace, and Ambulance Cost Data. She, along with Brian Werfel, Esq., co-authored the AAA Documentation Manuals and she also serves as editor for the AAA Medicare and HIPAA manuals.
